World Cup Feeva - Part 2

Yesterday, I was having a chit chat session with my colleagues (in fact we have many sessions a day, haha) My colleague, SP, was telling me that she had fren who just got a pay rise of $400 after getting her degree. And now she is considering whether she should look for a job now that she got her degree. I was telling her OF COURSE she gonna look for a better job offer. She got a second-class lower Honors lor. Surely she can command a much better pay then what NTU is offering now.

But I do have slight worries for her coz Public sector usually have a greener pasture as compare to Private. And usually the working pressure is higher out there. She been in NTU for so many years liao. .haha probably already acustom to the culture here. Like i said before, NTU have the nicest ppl i ever met. My first day was already a culture shock. The ppl are so polite and helpful. Maybe this is because their work pressure is less.

I guess she doesn't have to worry much. Work pressure is everywhere, u just gonna get accustom to it and things will turn out fine. One will never grow if you just stay in your comfort zone.

Yeah... WORLD CUP time.

This WC feeva is really heating up.. Even my cousins, gals.. yes gals are calling me for tips for this WC. These dear cousins of my dont usually watch soccer lor. Maybe becoz their BF are watching .. so if they can't beat them, JOIN them! Not forgetting my pregnant auntie, Anna. She got SCV World CUP channel subscribe so that she can keep her hubby from giving excuses to watch with friends in the pubs. Haha, I was so suprise that they called me asking me to take Spain or Ukraine. They had hear from my dear brother that i been winning a couple of matches these days... and getting tips from me is the best choice.

I must admit that I'm no GURU in soccer. Its all based on luck really. My grandma always said, "Ball is round, it can go either way, cannot be bet one". Yeah, she is right. So I always bet minimal so wouldn't be heart pain if i lost.

Me and my colleagues, SP and YC betted on two matches. We betted based on no. of goals. We have chosen one, two and three goals respectively for each match. But none of us got it right. Just imagine, you were given three chances to bet on a match and you can't win, what makes you think u can win in this WC???

Yesterday, me and my cousin, Hua Hua, betted $50 on Spain to win over Ukraine. Bingo, another winner for us. Spain won 4-0 . After that, we wanted to bet on Germany to win by 2 goals. But heng heng, the bookie close the betting station liao. Germany win 1 goal nia. HAHA... guess the Lady Luck is on my side. Anyone need luck for this world cup?? I'm around. HAHA.
