National Day Outing

This morning, dear and me, together with my brothers, SIL, and pipizhen, set off to the National Musemum Sinapore. It had been quite some time since I last visit this place, probably more then 15 years. The last time was on some China history. LOL.. Actually now isa good time to visit all musemums in Singapore as this August as they are all FOC... think in conjunction with the some art fest and 7th month.

Its interesting how technology had changed the way the N.M work. We don't need any curator anymore. They are being replace with electronic gadget which are handed to all visitors. The advantage of this are you can walk at your own pace, you don't have to follow the curator's group. However, it does lose some personal touch i would say.

There are so many things to see there, it will take one full day to finish, if you will to go through it thoroughly. We left after two hours there. Really cannot finish everything. Plus my two-year-old neice is super tired.

Today weather is super hot today, we came back in the afternoon. I think Dear is super tired and is having giddy spells. LOL.. still say women is the strongest and can do more work after outing.. I agreed lah, but not today. ahaha..

LOL... been a loooooong time since i updated this blog..

many new updates available, like i am married.. haha nothing new lah.

job leh? same still working in the office for like 6 yrs? At least this time round i am seated at a different seat. Some changes in my job role, upgrade i would say. Not what I wanted, but better than nothing lor. More responsibilities means sibuay busy.
At least something i look forward to. Everyday time passed like waterfall. Too fast to handle. Don't have enough time to work ah...

After marriage is like full time houseman. family come first. Aside from both of our time, we need to juggle my family, her family... Friends become my third piority liao. I am such a sociable person but no choice lah, need to priorities lor. So sorry all my friends and buddies, pig-dog friends, hahaha, I have to place you all at the third place. But don't be despair, coz you are not the last. The last is me. I am the least priority, coz I don't have time for myself. LOL.

This picture is taken at BBK last year Dec. So lucky we managed to catch Doraemon shopping at the Central World. Doraemon wanted to take photos with us badly, we got no choice but to oblige (like real, its the other way round, haha).

the more i whine about such minor issues.. the more i feel like i am a fucking pussy who keep whining at small little things....

Recently, there had been many unhappiness in my workplace. And it making me very sensitive to certain issues that concern me directly or indirectly. I would like it to be me who is sensitive so that i can change my mindset, otherwise it would mean this place is getting worse.

Take this simple example that happen these two days.

Yesterday, I was asked by my boss to work on a technical task. Such task is usually done by person X. So when my boss discuss it, both me and X were involved. I was surprise why my boss asked me to do it instead, coz i dont wanna cross path with X. Anyway, it seems like my boss reminded me to do it again yesterday evening.

This morning, i m begining to work on it. So to prevent crossing path with X, i asked X again if she wanna do it or had she done it. She kept mum. And i told her that i am going to ask boss about the technical details before i start on it. She said yeah, its better that way.

I went to see my boss and ask him what are the requirement, and X popped in and told boss that she had done an example and if that is what he wants.

Hmm.. so here i am, looking stupid, asking boss what is his requirement, when a solution had already come. X should tell me that there is an example, or if X had done it, just tell me, i am happy to let X do it.

Pleeaaasseee.. tell me i am over sensitive.?

i was at the 7th month dinner which was held at the nearby block in holland v. My grandma was invited for the event, but becoz she is not feeling well so she told my dad to takeover. My dad in turn asked me to take over him as he is too tired to attend the event.

Haha.. i am not usually that keen to take part in such event even though i had been to it so many times. Surprisingly this time i just had the mood to go there just by myself.

There i was walking towards the venue and looking for a place to sit. I don't know anyone there but still i feel fine to grab myself a sit with a table of strangers. My mind was fill with "f*** it.. just sit and eat" mentality. HAHAA

It was a same affair all the years.. the feeling, the auction, the people, the shouting... What i notice was that the items up for auction are getting lesser. It had decline so significantly as the years go by. It seems like they just had enough items to auction for 3hrs compare to having many leftover items when the event ends. It looks like things are getting lesser as the years go by. The interest to pass on such tradition might just died away....

Last week, i was told by my mum that the 7th mth event at hougang was almost cancel for this year. But because there is someone who believe in carry on the tradition thats why he sponsor the event with his own pocket. I guess such event cannot last for many years as we it to be.

I guess the minister had notice the significant drop of items that in his speech tonight, he said that the inflation and declining growth will be temporary and he hope that things will turn on fine for the people going down the road.

Anyway, its hard to carry on this tradition with declining of interest in this area. I will try to attend this events more to keep it as a memory....

Since i am awake at this time, i might as well write some updates.

I been quite busy for the past weeks, ever since i returned from my reservist. Even though its school holiday work are not getting any lesser. I am happy that i am giving a small project to handle at the moment and it should keep me quite occupy for next 2 months i guess.. hahaha. Next week will kick off the new semester.

Time passed, its has been 3yrs already at NTU. I thought i would have left after 2 or at most 2.5 years. I think the main reason for not leaving is the economic factor. I got a pay rise last nov. Its not any significant sum but nevertheless its keep me from quitting. And now that i got something new to play with, i probably use this opportunity to learn more before i leave. Lets just set a target, probably 4.5yrs. hahahahah.. or less.
