Last night was my first time at St James Powerstation. I've read lots of news about this new happening place and heard of it from many friends but never been there myself. I thought it must be like those other types of dance club i been to, though i've never been to many. hahahaha.

Anyway. I was at this particular club called the Dragonfly. Same old thing, there are crazy queues. when i got there. But once I entered the main entrance, i was awed by what was before me. There is really big stage there and there were some amatuer singer singing like its their concert. superb band, power lightings and sound, singer and dancers on the stage. On the floor are the "fans" with their drinks and cheering and dancing. These singers aren't singing the regular angmoh pop songs you used to hear. In fact they were singing those old chinese pop and canto pop. They can sing really really well, better then those SG idol.

The audience age range are also wide. Its like 25-50 year old. I saw an 50plus ah pek dancing away at a corner. Then got ah soh listening to the music and enjoying themselves.

It's really an cool place which i will surely visit again.
