NTU just gone privatised after the first quater this year. July marked my 1st year anniversary. There will be many changes coming along the way. Rumors are spreading like paycut, retrenchment, blah blah. Luckily none of these are true yet.

This morning I received an mass email from the HOD side saying that they are proposing to combined some schools together. This will allow sharing of resources and blah blah blah... And it also means that we will only have one DEAN. So the other dean go where??.. sack? transfer? i dunno.

Sway sway, my colleague from another dept sent an msn telling me and other colleague that there will be paycut for us. I was shock lor. Why kanna paycut at this time. Heng ah, it true out to be false alarm after i clarify with my manager. Anyway, this small rumour led to some chain-lightning effect. This colleague "fug" me over the phone, saying i was spreading rumor? What the fug? He was the one spreading, and I was only clarifying nia. And he never said that one is confidential. So angry man.....

Its kinda sad that this thing have to happen in my workplace. I'm niave to believe that such office problem won't happen to me. And i got a feeling that the frequency will increase when we start working under the same roof this Aug. So sad.

Gonna no time for such stupid office conflicts. Anyway, This NTU privatisation really put pressure on many of us. Hmmm.. No one is spare when a company policies comes in. This further enforced the idea that everyone need to have a backup plan coz there is never INTEGRITY between YOU and the COMPANY you work with.
